trixxie17: They appear to be pansy orchids - the black area comparing to the "face" on a pansy. The botanical name is miltoniopsis. This is lovely.

LynEve: It is indeed a strange looking plant that rather lives up to it's name if it smells nasty. The purple 'petal' looks quite velvety.
