A resident looks out her window of the Nursing Home as family members and other visitors have been locked out due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The lock down started March 14th and there is no end in sight. My 95 years young Mother is in this Nursing Home, so it hits home with me. Some people have been going to the residents window and waving at them. Most residents don't have a phone. Luckily, my mother has one. It's not a cell phone because it was too complicated for her to use. It is a regular phone and it can only receive calls. I had to get her a designated phone line. This makes it possible for all the family to talk to her. Her sister and I talk to her every day. Twice a day for me. I've been doing this for years. I did go to her window Sunday and called her. We visited via phones through the window. We both enjoyed seeing each other.

The Nursing Home has a Facebook page and posts videos and photos of the residents for the family. The staff is so dedicated and they do a fabulous job taking care of the residents. Thus far, no residents or staff has contacted the virus. Thank God for that.

I'm not making light of situation and thought I would use this for SNATM I guess a little humor is good for us during troubling times.
