NOTICE: THIS IMAGE IS COPYRIGHTED AND NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE. Well, I lost a great friend Sunday. He sat in my lap Sunday morning before I had to get ready for Church. Had I only known that would be the last time. I put him outside and fed him and left for church. I returned at 1:30 pm and as I drove up the drive only 2 cats greeted me instead of three. No Boots. I had a foreboding feeling but dismissed it thinking he was off in the woods somewhere. Supper time arrived-still no Boots. This is Weds and he has still not returned. He know he never will. We have lots of coyotes around here and myself and the neighbors think one of them got him. There will never be another cat like Boots. He was most unusual. He would ride on my zero turn mower with me as I mowed the grass. He would ride on my battery powered cart as I rode around the property. He would even jump up on my four wheel walker and let me push him around on it inside and outside the house. Wherever I was, Boots was there. He was 20 lbs of love. I lost my husband in 2007 and Boots was my primary source of company. I would get many a laugh when people would ask me if I thought I would ever remarry, and my answer would be: "I have a 20 lb cat that sleeps with me and when he stretches out he keeps me warm from my chin to my knees. Not only that, he snores and farts. What do I need a man for?" Ha! Well, some animals are like children to you and you can become very attached to them. Maybe a lot of you have never experienced that kind of love for an animal. That is your great loss. But I know one Caedes member who would understand what I'm talking about-the Lion (John Wambler and Molly) jswgpb. Pardon me as I dedicate this image to the best pal I ever had!
