You have to take a long and winding road through beat up marshes to get to the end to this boat launch at Bayou Heron. It feels like the end of the world there. In reality it is more north than where I live, yet it leads to the marshy shores of the bay. A narrow road often filled to the rim with rising water the hairs on my neck often rise so I haven't had the nerve to go before sunrise yet.....
