...back to Bramhall Hall which is just a few miles away and stands in 62 acres of parkland. You will find another photograph of the hall from the other side in mygallery The oldest part of the hall that stands today dates from the 14th century, although the estate itself dates back to around 1070 AD, to the time of William the Conqueror. In the 12th century the manor passed to the Bromale family. 200 years later it passed to the Davenports, who resided at Bramall for 500 years. The property today is owned by the National Trust and open for all to view.
