Because of the rules of nomenclature this should be more properly called H. argutifolius, but as it is only found in the wild on Corsica and Sardinia the former name seems most apt! I love this plant for it's contrasts in shapes and textures and in it's subtle colours - various shades of green; even the flowers are a creamy green! Everyone should grow at least one Hellebore as it's about the first herbaceous plant to flower in the spring:)
