Cod liver oil Levertraan I remember myself sitting in about the same position at the kitchen table waiting for my Mom to come with the SPOON the horror I can still feel and taste it. THE SPOON... THE NOSE PINCH (like that helped) and the gulp. Then the the sick feeling the gag reflex and my Mom saying don't you dare spit it out. The escape ROBERT GET BACK HERE! run run for your life to the hills (we lived in a valley near the treeline) reached the forest out of sight could no longer keep it down... but no relief the smell the taste in my mouth the horror. Please don't think I had a bad childhood because I had a great childhood and a great Mom except for the Cod liver Oil thing. As footnote the next year it was Cod liver Oil time again had planned my escape the moment came I ran only to find the door locked. I turned around to see my Mom standing there with such a sweet smile of satisfaction the Horror the sick feeling in my stomach I could not keep it down .....was my last Cod liver year.
