I found this little guy on a tree when I was camping on a local Island in Eau Claire,WI. It was a most interesting little thing to watch, that tube on it's back is used to plant eggs into the tree bark. I watched it for 10 minutes or so as it struggled to pull the tube out of it's self. I have uploaded a picture of the hymenoptera planting it's eggs as well. insects are such curious little things...
