Nikoneer: Sooooo many textures in here, and I do like how one of those hopper style windows is open in the distance, breaking up the flat planes a little. And yes, definitely one that fits the contest theme. bd Two thumbs up!

A Bit Worn Out by Vickid

Dunstickin: Well spotted...this would be fine for the current contest too!...love the worn textures here

jerseygurl: It's so sad this house fell into disrepair Vicki - I would imagine it was a very nice house to live in and raise a family - good find - Great Capture and Good Luck in the contest!!!!!!!!

3rd place
Composition of Decomposition by gr8fulted

tigger3: I like your composition, of the decomposition. Makes me wonder what the story of this rustic home is? I really like the rural beauty with Mt. Hood in the background. tigs=^..^=

Lightpainter: Interesting contrast between the purity of nature (in the background), and the influence of man (the foreground).

4th place
Dereliction at Grove Rake Mine by Dunstickin

gr8fulted: Kudos on your contest placement.

tigger3: I agree with Bruce, and I doubt that this place would be open to anyone to take pics.? So where did this come from?

Lin_O: very well done on 4th

bfrank: This is about as derelict as they come, Bob. I doubt you will find any rest in that restroom. Good contest entry.

5th place
Dilapidation by jerseygurl

trixxie17: Great one for the contest Laura!

Dunstickin: Congratulations on your placement in the contest Laura

GomekFlorida: It is sad to see so many of these classic structures start to decay. Yet that is the natural selection of things, which isn't bad, just the way it is. I am sure it has served its purpose for many years before reaching this state.
