0930_23: The repetitive shadows really look great too Kathy.
I like the gentle curve of structure. Beautiful shot and I think it would make a wonderful entry.

flanno2610: It is always a sobering moment to visit a military cemetery and realise the sacrifice that war demands.
Jhihmoac: Woww! Totally missed this one...Good tribute...faved...
Nikoneer: Whenever I visit ours here in North Dakota I'm amazed at how perfectly aligned the rows are and, as you drive by, how the patterns the lines of stones make change. It reminds me so much of the precision required of us when we were in boot camp. I think it adds greatly to the dignity and respect of such a place. Thanks, Ron.

Constance52347: Very interesting narrative and links...horrible to be caught so unprepared...and comforting to know that protection is now in place.
The photo, itself, is great....clear focus and details and DOF..the barrier is very impressive extending far into the background. Also, this would make a great contest entry...it would have my vote.
