1st place Ramad: Well done with this image Bob. A collision seems unavoidable here.
corngrowth: Congrats Bob, for winning the 'Manipulation' contest.
Well deserved, Owd Mucker!
gonedigital: Would make a suitable book cover for a Isaac Asimov novel. Cool manipulation Bob. (o:

2nd place tigger3: This is much improved in my humble opinion, all of your hard work paid off with the lovely artistic image. tigs=^..^=
Nikoneer: I'm glad you discussed all the work you did on it, and now it reminds me so much of the work of the 19th century French impressionists. Delightful and definitely "worth it." My major in college was for fine art and I spent a heckuva lot of time at an easel. I absolutely love the fact that I can do the same thing at my computer, where I can save various versions of my work until I'm satisfied, something I could never do with canvas and paint. Also, now that I'm in my 60s, I can't sit upright at an easel for hours and hours like I used to do. I highly suggest you enter this in the current manipulation contest. It's a placer for sure.

3rd place LynEve: Congratulations on your placement with this clever manip :)
Nikoneer: True photo-manipulation is so much more than simply using a texture filter or a piece of software designed to create an effect. I've done a lot of manips in my time, including one I shot of a blue car passing me on a curve in South Dakota's Spearfish Canyon, reproducing the car multiple times from about 6 shots I got of it as it passed. The car was in the open, however, with no trees or iron bars in front of it, unlike this submission of yours. I know precisely what it takes to try a manip like this, taking all the obstructions and different shadows into consideration. This, in my 33-year-photographer's professional opinion, is masterful, and certainly deserves the top position in the contest. Kudos in advance.

4th place koca: Very artistic and beautiful, Frank.
ryzst: If you hadn't specified elves, I might've guessed The Thing morphing into some new horror. Or something from Lovecraft's twisted mind. But an elf it is, just pushing it's goat-head out of a tree trunk. I'm good with that. Beautiful and mind-melting stuff.
5th place questjester: Congratulations on the contest!! :)
Flmngseabass: This is fabulous ans so funny Nik. Thanks for brightening up my day!!!
bfrank: Congrats on placing fifth Nik. It is a chuckle maker for sure.
corngrowth: This can happen only in North Dakota, 'Nik' (☺).
Great manip however. Meets perfectly the contest topic.
Good luck with this entry, my friend!
