1st place
Buddhist Prayer Wheels by WTFlack

corngrowth: I agree with the commenters above that this would be a perfect entry for the current contest, William.
If you decide so, wish you Good Luck with it!

Vickid: Wonderful photo, light and angle provide us with an excellent sense of the prayer wheels. Perfect entry for the contest. Would have loved to hear the lecture.

2nd place
St. John Cantius Church by Mizteeq

Nikoneer: Whoah... whenever I'm presented with a scene like this I try to get the absolutely perfect centering, measuring it out on the floor if there aren't tiles or boards to help, activating the grid in my viewfinder back screen, checking back and forth from one side to the other so much I look like I'm watching a tennis match... but am lucky to get 95 per cent of exactly where I want it (eventually fixing it in Photoshop). I think you got about 97 per cent, and that you'd have to be the deity worshipped here to gt 100 per cent. A great job of setting up your shot and one heckuva place to get it. This is such beautiful architecture and rich appointments it looks more like a painting. Best of luck in the contest.

mesmerized: A unique closeup view of this religious practice...marvelous clarity and lighting...would make an excellent entry in the current contest...best of luck if you do decide to enter it.

4th place
The Last Station by Dunstickin

rvdb: Congrats Bob great work.

Rob

Nikoneer: The letters "INRI" are initials for the Latin title that Pontius Pilate had written over the head of Jesus Christ on the cross (John 19:19). Latin was the official language of the Roman Empire. The words were "Iesvs Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm." Latin uses "I" instead of the English "J", and "V" instead of "U" (i.e., Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaeorum). The English translation is "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews."
