1st place koca: Beautiful picture and excellent narrative. Good luck.
Nikoneer: This is an excellent capture of a happy day in the ongoing history you and your son are creating. The perspective of the near-converging lines of the bridge, the mouth of the foliage tunnel at its apex, and your son smack in the middle, head turned just enough to evoke exploration on his part, all in good focus and the more evocative b&w treatment, makes this a real keeper. I'm hoping you have it printed large, framed, and hanging in a prominent place in your home to put a smile on every guest who sees it. A fav for me.
Happy Trails

3rd place bfrank: That is a great story, Jeff! I was wondering would this qualify for the current contest? It reminds me of the days our family hiked in the Smoky Mountains. Some of those hikes were about 10 miles.
LynEve: That's a great story - the world needs more like you and that lad !
4th place Flmngseabass:
corngrowth: John, when sailing the seven seas in my previous career, I'm glad that I never had an encounter with a ship and its crew as perfectly depicted by you, 😁 .
I must say however that in my childhood days I've read (with red ears because of the tension) books with pirate adventures too.
Your splendid work does revive my childhood days to a certain extent now. Thanks for that!
5th place jerseygurl: A cheerful looking school building and surroundings by the lake Milka - can well understand why you liked it so much - Great Capture!!!!!!!!
casechaser: School is where children go and learn the magic they will use for the rest of their lives. Milka, best wishes for the contest.
