The two old thistles reminded me of an old couple, two old friends or perhaps both enjoying their latter days in the sunshine. The breeze was blowing through their hair as they seemed to visit about the great season they had together. They commented on the good view of the lake they had, and how all types of fowl, animals and other critters had stopped by to visit them. They even mentioned a bee or two that had their way with them. I was pleased to hear they had taken the time to enjoy all the beauty that was around them. As I left I heard one of them say: "I will see you next year in a new pod." Now isn't that a lovely thought.
