Old barns used to be one of my favorite photos to post on Caedes, but for some reason I got away from them. I thought it was time for another one. I'm not sure what the original use was for this barn, but I'm guessing it was a milk barn back in the day. I suppose it could have been a tobacco or cotton barn, with the opening for faster drying. I have some photos of just the barn, but I thought the gate added to the scene. I will post a photo of just the barn at a later date. In hindsight, I would have stood on something for a different angle.

Recently Carol (Starglow) posted a Gingerbread House, and I told her I thought it looked a little tilted. She told me the roof on the house was sagging some, which made it almost impossible to straighten. I think I have run into the same problem with this old fella. I straightened it, but if I straightened it according to some of the software, it really looked cattywampus.

This barn is located in the hills and hollers of Southeast Missouri. If a good landslide came along, it could end up in the Missouri Bootheel. That could be a factor as well. Whatever, I hope you enjoy.
