The Owd Timer (dunstickin) posted this photo yesterday and reminded me of my Grandfather. He was a hard worker and operated a saw mill and threshing machine during the Depression Era. This is a photo of him sitting on the Steam Tractor. The photo was taken in Omaha, Missouri in front of the old store and restaurant. The building is still there, but that is all. In fact my daughter exchanged her wedding vows in front of this building.

I suspect they were "letting off a little steam," after enjoying lunch. The mules could definitely out run the Steam Engine Tractor," but they couldn't outwork or outpull the mighty engine. My grandfather died in 1963, so I never had the chance to talk to him about this photo. My daughter was born on his birthday, so it was fitting she chose this spot to exchange her vows. I added a texture to the photo.
