The Mockingbird is the official state bird for Tennessee. If you get close to its nest a Mockingbird will come after you. Do it more than once and it will stalk you thereafter. They're great songbirds and they continue to learn new songs and sounds throughout their lives. The Tennessee Mockingbird is an incredable imatator of other birdsongs and sounds. He's even imatated the official state bird of Mississippi, Florida, Arkansas and Texas. Hope you enjoy. -Christie
