Another view of downed trees at Pogue Lake. Some of these trees are "blowdown" from high winter winds. Others may have been taken down by the water drowning them. The water in this lake rises in the spring and summer from snow melt. It could contribute to the trees dying and falling over. Some of the trees are definitely killed by the infamous Pine Beetle. I hate that little beast.
