I shot this photo last autumn out in the backyard. Cropped the photo from a larger shot. This fellow and his friends took about a week to strip this clump of trees clean of their berries. Soon thereafter they started their migration to warmer climates. In past years there have been grouse and other birds doing their share of eating these berries, but I never saw any this year.
