The title refers to the name of the bird species, and it doesn't hurt that it's all by its lonesome. I took this photo last October 2009 in the early morning light of a forest cut-over. This fellow was here to greet us each morning when we arrived for work. Though he'd fly off the moment you got too close for comfort and return when you moved off. He spent his time digging around the waterholes to build strength for the migration south. I cropped the shot down from a larger photo and messed around with the edges with an effect or two. Hope you enjoy it and your comments welcomed.
