This was photographed last summer on a hot, hazy July afternoon spent walking the trails of the park. There's a small gorge behind the bench with a rather steep embankment that I wouldn't want the pleasure of climbing unless I was being pursued by a ravenous pack of squirrels.

This is one of those two picture deals. A bit of stitching was required to join them together to get some depth and perspective in the photo. Then I did a little experimenting with a photo tutorial to give it a softer look. I'm not satisfied with the sky at all. I should go back and add a new layer and work it some more when I get the chance.
