The Horticultural Hall greets us at one of the Public Gardens entrances. Feel free to toss some coins in the fountain, or make some change if no one is watching, as you walk by it. You never know when you're going to need exact change, so don't pass up the chance while you have it. I won't tell anybody, honestly. The Horticultural Hall was built in 1847 and erected by the Halifax Horticultural Society to serve as a meeting room, and the cellars were used to store vegetables. The building has been restored since 2003 when Hurricane Juan damaged the gardens. According to the brochure light refreshments, including the all important ice cream, are available in the building. I bet you're wishing you had exact change now.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.
