I was going to post this in the Pets Gallery.

Say hello to George. You'll excuse him if he is slow in responding, he ain't as spry as he used to be, but then again who is. Old George and I go way back, him more so than me. I first met George years and years ago. Back then he was wallowing in a stream bed and was a mere chip of stone that would fit in the palm of your hand. Slim and aerodynamic he made the perfect skipping stone. Had a heck of a time finding him after a good throw. So being young and in the early days of foolish I made a pet of George. The classic story of a boy and his rock. The years went by and both of us grew, him a lot quicker than expected. Then came that fateful day when we visited the geologist. After a thorough inspection it was discovered that George suffered from E.O.M.D. (Early Onset Moss Disorder). We tried to keep him comfortable and he stayed around for a few years as a paperweight and then a doorstop, but the costs of scraping and polishing him to remove the moss just got out of hand. And those uncaring insurance companies refused to cover the cost, can you imagine. So with heavy hearts and straining backs we released George back into the wild. I had all but forgotten about George until I stumbled on him out in the middle of nowhere, miles from where I had last seen him. As you can see the disorder has progressed and he was now sprouting trees and from the look of it shedding them all around.
