Well you can call off the search teams and rein in the hounds. I finally found it. This is the embarrassing bit. Turns out it was in my other pants pocket the whole time. You would have thought I would have felt it there or that I would have looked there first. But I chose to look in the other usual places it could have been; like in the fridge, under the seat cushions, behind the cabinet, I even went and looked in the neighbour's shed on the off chance I had lent it to him. Good thing the pants hadn't gone through the wash yet or it might have gotten ruined.
