.....Yesterday we left our scuba diving heroes swimming towards a plume of escaping gas (yesterday’s post) in an effort to reach the surface. Approaching the rising mass we soon realized that this was no plume of smoke, gas or anything remotely like that. Each bellow, or poof if you will, of what we thought to be gas was actually a mass of living organisms moving as a unit that we could only describe as some sort of micro worms; thousands of them. Hundreds of these groups made up the rising cloud mass. The hundreds of these groups began to encircle us moving around us, over us and under us. Although this was terrifying at first not knowing what to expect, we found that they were actually helping us towards the surface, carrying us along.
