Predjama Castle (The Cave Castle) hangs dramatically in the middle of a 123 metre cliff – a four storey structure almost arrogant in its simplicity, but unconquered and uncompromising. A castle has stood on this site since the year 1201. It offers the experience of the medieval legend of the robber baron Erazem Predjamski. The stairs leading to the upper floors are carved into solid bedrock, and the secret niche hid treasure until recently!
