I read a comment from my Enchanted swamp picture about the path being ripe for mosquitoes and gators. Well, here is what I saw about 20 feet from me from where I took the last photo. I was real quiet, and I wanted to get close up him, but he/she heard or sensed me coming and very quietly slithered into the river. It's not unusual to see them hanging out along the edge of the water, and no I'm not afraid of them, but I have a real respect for them and let them have their space. :)
