After a trip to Goodwill to look for a 35mm slide projector we spotted a decent microscope for $7. It was a low end model, but it was enough to re-spark my interest in microscopy. I looked around online for a more advanced model and was surprised how affordable a professional high-end model was; I received it a few days ago. There is a USB camera that attaches to one of the eyepieces and this is how I captured this image. These are my red blood cells. This isn't even the highest magnification, it can go up to 2500X! I have taken some shots of micro-organisms as well, and learned to take better quality captures. This shot is comparable to the first images of a space probe that landed on Mars for example, just enough to know it works. I hope to share some more great shots as time goes on.
