First off, I have been waiting for an updated Google street view image of the street where my house used to be. I heard it was demolished like the countless other homes in Detroit, but when I went today because I saw it had been updated, it blew my mind. Second off, if that's a phrase, I am not sadden at all by seeing an empty lot where my childhood home use to stand. For me, it is so strange to think everything fit into this little patch of land. Granted, we didn't have an acre of two, but our house was pretty large and the backyard was a decent size. The refuse you see here is very typical all througout Detroit. Sad, but despite the so called come back people talk about, the city has many years to get back on track. Please check out this link it's not the best shot, but shows you what was there.
