Greetings. I plan on commenting on your entry's tomorrow in between chores. About a year or so after me and my mother first moved here, she woke me up one morning and took me to a park along the Hillsborough river where we walked along the cypress knees, there wasn't a boardwalk like there is now. Many years (23 years later) my mother and I were in the same location, and it was gator mating season. It was quite the scene, with some alligators paired up and swimming downstream as a couple. As me and my mom stand on the boardwalk watching, I noticed a fair sized gator right below us on the boardwalk. He seemed to be resting, and as we stared at him for a moment, he slowly opened his eyes, stared at us, and for a very brief time we connected. It was almost as he was expecting us to throw something at him to react or behave like other people do, but he turned and slowly swan downstream. When you connect with an animal, whether a blue whale, etc its a magically event you don't forget. Right then, this photo was taken at Trout Creek park a few mile from my home.
