These are tenement buildings from a trip i took to Edinburgh last year. They get the accolade of Worlds First Skyscraper. These buildings just used to be one roomed houses with an alleyway down the middle but space was so scarce in Edinburgh during the 1800's that people just kept building one room on top of another and another. Some of these buildings were up to 14 storeys high. This is all that is left of them but i liked the texture and the history so thought i would post.
