in moroccan souks you will usually find a herb and spice shop or two - they sell lots of edible herbs, rahoulle which is a clay you can use on your skin, medicinal herbs, oils etc. - all arranged on shelves round the room. these are pigments used for paints apparently, but i loved the colours.
