...The wireless operator took the small sheaf of paper from the Captain, and strode back to the mechanical bustle that was contained within the radio shack...Unfolding the message, he read:
'CQD at the above coordinates...Anyone whom responds should be advised that we are twenty-two hundred in number, going down by the head, and time is NOT of the essence!'

...This is my entry for the "Desolation" contest...Even after almost a century later, mystery and legend still continue to surround this submerged giant!
