Another industrial shot of the Hudson river was taken in Glens Falls, N.Y. this photo was taken in the same area. The platform in the foreground is called Coopers Cave it was the inspiration for James Fenimore Cooper's "The Last of the Mohicans" The cave was the hiding place of Hawkeye and his companions. But the viewing platform gives the worst view of the cave. The best view of the cave is from the factory across the Hudson and is not accessible to the public. so I took a picture of the factory. I often set out to take pictures of one thing and wind up photographing something else entirely.
