A large split boulder of local Borrowdale volcanic lava placed on the boulder strewn shore to mark 100 years of the National Trust in the Lake District. Located on the western shore of Derwentwater with Walla crag to the left & Castle crag in the distance. This is a follow on from my previous post, taken on the same winter day. It was a difficult shot to get as I didn't have my tripod with me so I shall return to this scene another day for sure & try again. Comments & critique always welcome :)
