Continuing with the churches which were all taken on Easter Day. This is St Luke's Anglican Church and it was the first in Oamaru to be built with Oamaru Stone. Designed by Messrs Rumsey and Jackson, construction started in 1865 and it was built in three stages. It is now a Category I historic place on the New Zealand Historic Places Trust register. . .
