Ron Mueck (born 1958) is an Australian hyperrealist sculptor working in the United Kingdom. . . . . . . . . . . . http://christchurchartgallery.org.nz/exhibitions/ron-mueck/ . . . . . . . . . . . I was lucky enough to see an exhibition of his work last Friday. Photos were allowed without flash. This work is called "Two Women" They are full figures. The gossipy expressions I think are amazing. I got shots of several other works but I do not think some of them would be acceptable to post because of their lack of clothes. :) The making of this work included polyester resin,fibreglass, silicone, aluminium wire, steel wool, cotton, nylon, synthetic hair, plastic, and metal. I was totally mesmerised and one or two of the exhibits moved me to tears. If you get the chance to see an exhibition be sure not to miss it :)
