Yesterday I posted a photo of our native NZ Red-billed gull (Larus novaehollandiae)
Here are some more but you will see an odd one out in the centre. It is a Black-billed gull (Chroicocephalus bulleri) also known as Bullers Gull and is found nowhere else in the world except here. Although seen often it is the most threatened gull species worldwide and numbers are diminishing fairly rapidly.

So this is a lone Tarapuka amongst the Tarapunga :)
