There's always a bigger bug.

In hindsight some more depth of field would have been great on this shot, but the big bug didn't like me shooting him during mealtime. He kept shifting round to face me and looking generally unhappy.

Yes, it's another extension tube shot. I'm loving them, expect more :). D40 kit lens at 55mm with 36mm extension hand-held. 1/50 @F10, ISO-200. -0.7 stops compensation.

Talking of exposure compensation, I've found this necessary with the tubes and that I need more compensation with greater tube length. I suspect that it's because the camera reads the subject distance from the lens but gets it wrong because the tubes aren't taken into account.
