I suspect that in one corner of my soul I am an archeologist. It is one of the reasons I love photographing the old parts of a city, capturing the living process of layering that archeologists dig up centuries later. I was standing out of the rain on a narrow alley in Shanghai Old Town, near Yu Gardens, I looked down and could see at my feet at least five, maybe even six or seven different elements of this alley's chronology. The gleam of the water enhanced everything in my eye, so here it is, a bit of road, full of interest and beauty for me.

Enjoy.

Mikel.

PS, snapped with the little Lumix DMC FH2, a very handy little camera to carry around.
