The background is a very simple circular blend using a standard Gimp gradient. The overlying pattern was created simply with the circle select tool to create a template and the distortion in the centre is via the distort tool in The Gimp. Then everything layered and modes played with to get the colour reactions. I should be out of hospital tomorrow so one of my own photos might appear soonish.
