Switzerland. Picture taken at the base of a glacier. (Steingletscher) Am monitoring this glacier since 5 years in a row now, and indeed, it is getting smaller each year i visit. But it was yet again an awesome view. It was hard to resist the urge to walk into the glacier, cool sub zero degrees fog came out. Just the sight of other broken large parts of ice kept me out. But this view reminded me why i wanted to see Switzerland again. Just thinking.. the ice and waterdroplets are thousands and thousands of years old..For a larger area view, please click here.
