For my family this is a rare scene. In fact, the only time I have seen three Mourning Doves together at the same time, two of them were chasing off the third. I'm guessing that it is the lingering snow banks, covering their normal food supply, that brings this many to our feeders. The title, of course, derives from the posture of the dove on the far left.
