This is my best shot (so far ! ) of the Earlestown viaduct. It is a world first. This was the first viaduct in the world, built by the engineer, Stephenson. It carried the first passenger railway. It was over this viaduct that Stephenson carried out trials for his locomotive, ' Rocket ' To this day the viaduct still carries the main Liverpool to Manchester line.
