note: for those of you who like seeing yor taskbar on your screen, an alternate solution is to click and hold your mouse on the taskbar and move the mouse (still holding) and move the mouse to the top, right or left side of the screen. release the mouse and your desktop icons will readjust to fit the screen correctly.
