the other night (monday 4/2/07) at about 10:30ish i was driving back to college from an emergency ear appointment (bad infection) when i saw a car ran off the road and a girl jumping and waving her arms for help. I couldn't help but think about some things i've learned in my psychology and sociology class about "bystander apathy" where the more people there are witnessing something tragic, the more likely they are to experience the feeling of "someone else will help" and ignore it. well i decided that i would be the one to stand out and help (and i also have a soft spot for comforting people and helping them). i brought her into my car, turned on the heat, called 911 and helped her take care of anything else. she was fine psychically (possibly only a minor concussion that i saw). but all in all everything turned out alright. now your probably wondering what this all has to do with the image lol well i made this for her (got her phone number and email address so i could check up on her at later times) as a sort of 'well wishes' for her, that everything would be alright :-)
