Many houses in the fine old city of Norwich where I live, date back to the mid-1800s. The smaller houses are often terraced (joined together in a row) and are concentrated in an area of character known as the Golden Triangle. This photo is a view of my neighbour's porch across the road, which always looks handsome in bright sunlight. In my street, the house-deeds are so old they state that we're forbidden to keep pigs, brew alcohol or burn lime in our back gardens!! Given that there's a pub, butcher's & DIY shop all within 2 minutes walk, not many of us are tempted to flout the bylaws.
