I dedicate this bird to a certain Caedes member-sickly though the bird is compared to his work. I was sitting in my living room when I saw a man walk across the lawn in front of the windows heading for my front door. I thought, “Oh no, another cottin pickin salesman. I spoke to him through an open screen door and asked who he was. He said, “ Is this the residence of the famous Caedes photographer Pat Andre”…or something like that. It only took another second for me to realize who it was because I had told this Caedes member if his work (Louisiana Wildlife Agency) ever got him out my way he should stop in for a visit. It finally happened. Standing at my door was Ed Voisin, better known as 100k_xle or EJ as we know him. I almost died. Let me tell you something, what a sweet guy. It is always so much fun to meet a fellow Caedes member face to face. We had a great visit. Ed, I’m so happy you stopped by. Do that again. I dedicate this bird to you. Compared to your birds, don’t laugh too hard, will ya? And thanks for the Apple Fritter. It was delicious. Well heck, I might as well mention he brought me a beautiful Louisiana Bird Calendar too. How does the saying go, beware of strangers bearing gifts?
