another day, another dollar! It's obvious these horses are quite use to traveling. Somebody mentioned sometime back that since I am a former truck driver, that I would love driving these animals around. No, I don't think so. The cargo is just two precious and there are too many crazies on the road. As for the horses, I understand that there are cameras in the cab of the truck from which the driver and handler can see the horses in the trailer. The trailers are also air conditioned, have thick rubber flooring and have air suspension. The trucks stop each night at pre-planned stables when on the road. Each hitch horse will consume as much as 20 to 25 quarts of whole grains, minerals and vitamins, 50 to 60 pounds of hay, and 30 gallons of water per day. Where they store all of that I have no idea. Maybe they pre-order it from local sources.
