Smith Falls is so named because the falls resembles a blacksmith's forge, complete with chimney and pockets into the "forge." It is Nebraska's largest falls. Not much in the way of height, but, hey, we're in the plains. It is a very unusual falls, the water pours out over a section that juts out of the clift face.
